Leo Group’s head office in Halifax is heated using two biomass boilers. This enables carbon neutral heat energy to be utilised for company buildings and the production lines.
The biomass boilers utilise an efficient shell-tube boiler system and can achieve thermal efficiencies up to 91% which is similar to a domestic condensing boiler.
We use a waste wood process, which assists in transforming end of life wood materials into a BSL accredited dry fuel for biomass boiler combustion. These boilers provide 4mw per hour to the offices.
Several residential properties owned by the group also benefit from being connected to biomass boilers which has also made them eco friendlier and more efficient for our tenants.
