Bell Truck and Van, based in the North East of England with branches in Gateshead, Billingham, Spennymoor, Stockton and Longbenton, is an established commercial vehicle dealer that has been operating for more than 50 years and now employs around 200 people.
In October 2017, Bell Truck and Van was acquired by the Leo Group and a new era began with a focus on investment in the business with new facilities earmarked and major emphasis on the development of the team. Our commitment to expansion is best showcased by the new flagship dealership and head office – the largest in the country – at Team Valley which opened July 2023, as well as the re-development of our Stockton van site to include an aftersales centre.
Bell’s sister company BLS Truck and Van in Aberdeen, added in 2018, is the newest addition to our Mercedes-Benz network. It is currently a single dealership based in Aberdeen, but we are working towards expanding the reach of our service provision as soon as possible.
Our dealerships benefit from long-standing relationships with national haulage organisations and provides a dedicated aftersales provision to ensure downtime is minimised and customers receive first-class service.
All locations specialise in both new and used vehicles offering a broad product range from light commercial vehicles to heavy goods vehicles including the new all-electric range – the eCitan, eVito, eVito Tourer and eSprinter, as well as the Sprinter, Vito and Citan vans, eActros, Atego, Actros, Arocs, eEconic and Econic trucks, as well as the FUSO Canter and eCanter and have also expanded into further used vehicle sales.

Although this is Leo Group’s first experience of owning and managing a commercial vehicle dealership, we bring a customers’ perspective to our latest venture through our operation of a fleet of more than 200 Mercedes-Benz trucks.
