Our products are created using natural raw materials from sustainable sources, our state-of-the-art processing plants produce meals and oils of the highest quality.

We are a crucial raw material supplier to many industries including pet food, cosmetics, oleo chemical, biofuel, power stations and concrete works.

At Leo Group we process two different types of material to produce our meals and oils:

Category 1 oils and meal are produced from animal by-products of fallen stock, contaminated animals and part of animals that cannot be consumed. These oils and meals are produced at our Omega Proteins rendering plant and are transported to our customers, to be burnt to release energy.

Category 3 purified oils and premium meals are of a higher quality which makes them more marketable and allows them to be used in pet food, soap, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, cleaning products and power stations.

Our processing plants produce high quality meals from animal by-products. Our products are available in standard specifications or tailored to suit our customers’ needs. All the meal we produce is Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified, recognising our manufacturing, testing and quality assurance.

Our rendering facilities produce high quality tallow and oil used in a variety of products, from making soaps and cosmetics, to creating biodiesel for use in aviation. Our oils are certified under the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) scheme guaranteeing compliance with the requirements of the EC Renewable Energy Directive.

For more than 20 years we have been supplying fresh pet food ingredients to some of the most recognisable wet pet food producers in Europe. We use surplus poultry, beef and lamb products from the human food chain such as liver, lungs and hearts.

We collect these raw materials directly from abattoirs and butchers and bring them to our site where they are blended to customer specifications and plate-frozen in blocks to maintain freshness.
