Karol Lesiecki
General Manager
Karol started at Leo Group Ltd in 2008 as a shop floor cleaner, over the past 10 years he has worked his way up to be the General Manager at Omega Proteins one of Leo Group’s rendering plants.
“I started working for Leo Group at Omega Proteins Bradford as shop floor cleaner. My first big challenge was learning the language as much as possible. Working hard enabled me to move to various roles such as Plant Operator, Senior Plant Operator and Operations Manager for our petfood division. Over the years of working at Leo Group I have improved my language skills and worked at various company sites across the country and Europe gaining valuable experiences . I am very grateful to the Company for giving me these opportunities. My advice for new recruits is: be ambitious, find passion in tasks, be honest, and be aware that you will be one of the parts creating the company… work hard and opportunities will come.”
Nina Berry
Accounts Administrator
Nina started at Leo Group Ltd in 2003 as a purchase ledger clerk, over the years Nina has moved into HR and Payroll and is now the Group Payroll Manager.
“When I started at Leo Group there were only around 10 office staff here in Halifax and around 9 HGV drivers based in Halifax, how things have changed! During the many years I have worked for Leo Group I have worked on accounts, credit control, payroll, HR and I have even done reception. You name it, I’ve done it, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment knowing that I have been part of the team helping the company grow. Relatively new staff would not be able to imagine the growth of the company from what it was to what it is now. I am looking forward to seeing the company grow and prosper even further and want to carry on being part of the team to make this happen.”
