As a successful business we recognise we have a responsibility to help society and have been giving back to communities for more than 40 years.
At the board of directors’ discretion, we provide financial contributions to many community projects, charities, individuals and good causes throughout the UK. This can be a one-off donation or a longer-term commitment to supporting a cause.
Over the past 40 years we have built many partnerships with charities, schools and good causes including Ravenscliffe High School, Queensbury Support Centre, The Boparan Charitable Trust, Keelham Primary School and SmartMove Calderdale.
The largest project Leo Group has ever been involved in was Ravenscliffe @Springhall which was an initiative undertaken by Ravenscliffe High School to build a new a sixth form learning centre.
Ravenscliffe High School is the only secondary school in Calderdale that supports children and young people with additional needs, the @Springhall project was allocated £1.6m by Calderdale Council but another £1.8m was required to make it a reality. Leo Group supported the project by raising a staggering £375,000 including £250,000 in just one night at a charity ball in July 2017.
The £3.4m centre houses classrooms for food technology, art, dance and IT. As well as specially adapted changing rooms, personal care areas and a café that overlooks a state-of-the-art athletics facility.
Leo Group also encourage all employees to take part in fundraising activities for charities at work and home. From bake sales to marathons, raffles to sponsored head shaves, throughout the year our colleagues dig deep and support events in a bid to make a difference.
